LaSalle Parish provides an alternative education program for suspended students.  The purpose of the Alternative School is to keep suspended students in a school environment, off the streets, away from home while the parent works, and to maintain some type of continuity so the suspended student will not be behind with schoolwork when he returns to regular classes.

SITE:    Goodpine Middle School

HOURS:  7:55 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

LUNCH:  Cost of lunch is $1.00.  If student eats free, they will be able to eat free here.

MATERIALS:  Students are required to bring books from home to the Alternative School.

RULES

1) Parents must accompany the student to the Alternative School on the first day of the first time to the school for a parent / teacher conference.

2) Transportation must be provided by parents or representatives for the student both to and from school.  Alternative school students may not ride the school bus during this time of their suspension.

3) All school rules will be enforced at the Alternative School.

4) If you do not come the first day assigned, one day will be added.
