"Character is how you act when you think no one is looking.  The measure of our true character is what we are willing to do when we are sure no would never be found out."

                                                                                                                Thomas Babington Macaulay

The Six Pillars of Character:

1) Trustworthiness                 4) Fairness / Caring

2) Respect                             5) Citizenship

3) Responsibility                    6) Decision Making

The basis for "The Six Pillars of Characters" are core ethical values that are not religiously, politically, racially, or ethnically based or biased.  JJHS Character Counts students work in teams to teach lessons to 2nd and 3rd grade students at Jena Elementary School, reinforcing lessons about good character.
