Library Schedule
7:40 - 7:48 a.m. - Open before school
12:15 - 12:30 p.m. - Open for lunch recess
Once a week classes will be taken to the library out of reading. Students are taught a library lesson each week which correlates with the reference skill they are currently studying in their Reading classes.
The JJHS Library is automated and uses the Follett Software for checking books in and out, cataloging new books, and inventory.
Students have access to four computers in the JJHS Library. Two computers have Internet connections. The other two computers have Accelerated Reader. The seventh grade students are required to take an Accelerated Reader test on at least one book per six weeks for part of their reading grade. Eighth grade students also take Accelerated Reader tests. All four computers have Microsoft Office for students to use.
