Any teacher, school security guard, principal, or administrator employed by the LaSalle Parish School Board may search, either physically or with a metal detector per parish guidelines, the building, desk, locker, area or grounds for weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol, stolen goods, or other materials or objects, the possession of which is a violation of a school or School Board policy, and the person has reasonable belief that the item or proof of its presence will be found.

    Any teacher, school security guard, or administrator may search the person of a student when their is reason to believe that the students has in his or her possession any contraband material forbidden by law or School Board regulation.
