All Louisiana public school receive a SPS (School Performance Score) every year which shows how well the school is performing.

The SPS consists of 4 components:  The LEAP 21 - 60 %
                                    The IOWA test - 30%
                                    Student Attendance - 5%
                                    Student Dropout - 5%

Our school's SPS goal for next year is 96.4.

The state's goal for all schools is to have an SPS of 120.

How much has our school (JJHS) improved?

> We met our Growth Target.
> We needed to make a Growth Target of 2.9 points.  Our SPS increased 13.3 points from last year.
> We are not in School Improvement (SI).  Schools that do not meet performance and growth requirements are placed in School Improvement.
> We are eligible for a monetary reward.
> We received an "Exemplary Academic Growth" Growth Label - A school that makes its Growth Target, has all subgroups grow at least two points, and is not in School Improvement .
> We received a "Two Star" Performance Label for having a SPS range of 80.0 - 99.9.
> We met requirements in 6 out of 6 subgroups.
